Theremini (Version 1.0 - June 2011)

Theramini turns your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad into:

• a musical instrument (mini theremin)
• a musical interval pitching challenges machine

The Theremini instrument:
Pitch and volume are controlled by tilting the device and the steady point can be calibrated at any time by hitting "calibrate". The pitch and volume ranges can be set and the values are saved for next time. Vibrato can be added and its parameters can be set too. The waveform can be selected from:

• sine wave
• sawtooth wave
• pulse wave
• random harmonic amplitude wave.
  

The Theremini pitching challenges:
Theremini incorporates a game where you have to keep the Theremini output note close to a selected musical interval from a reference note (intervals: unison, octave, perfect fifth, perfect fourth, major third, minor third, major sixth, minor sixth, major second, minor second, major seventh, minor seventh). There are a number of levels available in which the pitch change rate as you tilt th edevice becomes more rapid, the range of accuracy for success becomes smaller (you have to be closer to the exact interval) and in the higher levels the target note itself moves when you are close to it. High scores for all intervals and levels are saved.
