David holds a Personal Chair in Music Technology and his research work is focussed on the analysis, synthesis and furthered understanding of singing, speech and music. He is a member of the York Centre for Singing Science and he leads the Audio Lab in the Department of Electronics at the University of York, UK, where he is Head of Department.
